Inventory of facilities, technical specifications and experiment portfolio

Résumé

The GEOLAB Research Infrastructure (RI) consists of 11 testing facilities in Europe aimed to study the ground behavior in its interaction with structural Critical Infrastructure (CI) elements and the environment. The overarching aim of GEOLAB is to allow the European geotechnical community using these key national research infrastructures to perform research and innovation to address challenges faced by the CI in Europe. With this general aim, this document collects a comprehensive description of each infrastructure - its scope, physical description, technical specifications, existing tools, available instrumentation, software for data management, a portfolio of each facility, an overview of the problems that can be explored with the facility and details of some project examples.
