Report on Calibrated material properties database
Résumé
Physical modelling is usually coupled with numerical modelling to gain deeper insights into the phenomena being examined. In GEOLAB, experimental results from Transnational Access projects are stored in a database, available to other researchers for further numerical study. This ensures that the value of these data will extend into the future and will be helpful even to researchers outside of the original user groups.
To support the use and re-use of these quality experimental data, the GEOLAB consortium has developed a comprehensive ‘one-stop’ material properties database for the typical soils and constitutive models used in the GEOLAB facilities. This report describes this database, the information currently contained herein, and the outlook on its further development.
